The Truth Bible-Presbyterian Church Building Project - NEWSLETTER

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy Name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits” (Psalm 103:1-2).

PRAISE THE LORD! After 3 years (since 2008) of praying to and waiting upon the Lord, God has finally given the green light to go ahead with our church building project.

THANK GOD for answering prayer in guiding us to this current location to build the church. At first, we actually wanted to construct the church building at our corn field, some 500m away from the Christian Home of Love (CHOL). However, man proposed, God disposed, as it is said in the Scripture, “I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps” (Jeremiah 10:23).

Towards the middle of last year (2010), God redirected us to another piece of land (our paddy field) which is along the main road only 1.5 km away from CHOL. PRAISE THE LORD! He has so graciously bestowed this piece of land to us a few years ago through the generous giving of His people. Indeed, like what Hudson Taylor said, “God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supplies.”

When God first provided this piece of land, our initial intention was to start a Christian School in the near future if the Lord tarries but God has a greater plan installed for us and He knows what is the best for His children, as it is written, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 55:8).

We could see a clearer picture now. The benefits of having the church built here are twofold: (1) when we start the school in the near future, if the Lord wills, we do not have to build the chapel building anymore since the sanctuary could be used for the chapel for the students; and (2) its strategic location along the by-pass is surely easier for the seeker to detect and more conducive for the Thai people to attend. This is definitely a far better and cost-effective arrangement. PRAISE THE LORD!

THANK GOD! The blueprint and the land documents were all approved by the authority without any difficulty. The estimated church building cost is around 30,000,000 Baht (updated).

The levelling of the land took place on 12 Feb. The perimeter for the building was erected on 15 Feb. Bored a well from 21 to 25 Feb. Ground breaking ceremony was held on 25 Feb. The Church met together at the site for a time of prayer and praise to our God almighty. Long narrow trenches were dug on 3 and 4 March, getting the ground ready to lay the foundation for the building. A power converter was installed on 7 March, bringing in the electricity.

THANK GOD for good weather and for safety & protection for everyone doing the work.
THANK GOD also for those who have given financially and for those who are praying and for those who are still supporting this project.

GOD IS FAITHFUL! He “is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20).

“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6). Amen!
